Welcome to Calhan Veterinary Clinic, your local veterinarians
Dr. Robert DeAngelo has had a long relationship with different animals, and he was able to realize his dream of veterinary school just before getting his teaching degree! Dr. DeAngelo’s interest in veterinary medicine and teaching makes him very willing to offer answers to different problems by holding educational seminars. He is a member of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and American Association of Equine Practitioners.
Calhan Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1988 due to the passion Dr. DeAngelo had in Veterinary medicine; we have been offering veterinary services since then. At Calhan Veterinary Clinic, we strongly believe in continuing education and are always advancing in our knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
We perform various procedures on both small and large animals; including dog and cat spaying and neutering, and dentistry procedures, among others. We have a fully equipped clinic with gas anesthesia for small animals, digital x-ray, state of the art anesthetic monitoring, an in-house laboratory suitable for routine analysis, and a power-float for equine dental procedures. We also have haul-in facilities for large animals, digital dental X-ray, an ultrasonic dental scaler for dental procedures on small animals, and ultrasound equipment.
We have a small animal surgeon who offers fracture repairs as well as other major surgeries. In order to improve diagnostic capabilities, we consult with board-certified veterinary radiologists, dermatologists and ophthalmologists enabling us to offer better quality services.
Our staff of: Kathy, Carrie, Patricia, Paige, Albert and Micheal are always happy to help. Stop in and say “hi” some time!
